LORD NATARAJA - PAN NATARAJA, TAŃCZĄCY SHIVA

The Temple of Lord Nataraja, the Dancing Shiva situated next to Paduka Temple of Sri Bhagavan Sathya Sai Baba in the Mukthi Nilayam Ashram.

Lord Nataraja (on the left) is performing Tandava, the cosmic ecstatic dance. The statue is a symbol of Indian culture. It is surrounded by flames of Cosmic Fire, which consumes everything in the cycle of life. The symbol of OM, on the right. Creation starts with OM; OM permeates the whole Universe. Next to OM there is a statue  of Parvathi Devi, the Consort of Lord Shiva.

Lord Shiva has got a demon under His feet. It symbolizes His victory over demonic evil and ignorance. His front right hand is wrapped with a ssnake; the hand shows the Abhaya mudra - fear not.

Jego przednią prawą rękę owija wąż; ręka wykonuje mudrę Abhaya (nie lękaj się.).

A statue of Patanjali the ancient sage (4th or 6th century BC) who wrote toe Yoga Sutra.

The statue of Maanikka Vaasagar, a IXth century Tamil poet who wrote Tiruvasakam, a book on Shaiva hymns. One of the main authors of saivite Tirumurai, the key religious text of Tamil language Shaiva Siddharta.

There are also many sacred pictures in the Temple of Lord Nataraj. The vibrations inside are exceptionally strong, especially when one meditates in there early in the morning, between 4.00 a.m. and 5 a.m..
